Updated: The 2014 Conference sold out in less than a week, with no announced speakers, no firm dates, and no firm location. How cool is that? If you’re still interested in going, you can head to the Australian edition this summer, their winter, or get on the wait list for 2014…all info can be found here: http://whatifconference.com/
How can one possibly put into words an experience that changed your life forever? You can’t.
How does one convey the feeling of making over 50 new friends, all put into your life to lift you up, encourage you and support you? You can’t.
A week of dreaming about making the world a better place, of pursuing what we’re passionate about, about following our hearts, embracing vulnerability? You can’t.
I’m really struggling to put into good enough words the way Jenny + I returned from our week in the Dominican. We returned with a renewed sense of purpose. With a knowing that we’re on the right path. That the life we’re living with each other matters. It’s a scary place to be, though. In transition. Pouring our whole hearts into the Happy Family Movement. 2013 will be a year of learning, growth, uncertainty, hope and hard work…
Jenny summed it up best with this quote, “WHAT IF we all put our hopes and dreams out there, put our hearts on the line, and good freaking things just started happening?!”
WHAT IF, you joined us at What If 2014, because you can bet your butts we’ve already signed up?
You can, too, right here: http://whatifconference.com/
Note: Thanks to Natalie Norton for the image of us on the beach!
I went into What If expecting that it would be awesome. I was so wrong. It wasn’t awesome. It was incredible. It was life changing. We laughed, we cried, we hugged old friends, we hugged new friends, we closed down the Fun Pub two (almost three!) nights in a row. We bared our souls over dinner, we shared our hopes and dreams with each other.
I went into What If nervous… I was giving two presentations and pretty much nobody knew who I was. By the time Wednesday came around, these brand new friends of mine were cheering me on. And by the end of the week, I truly felt loved by everyone in attendance. Think about that for a minute… I met 50 new people on Monday and by Friday, I knew that they loved me, that they would support and encourage me, that they BELIEVED in me. And I feel the same about each one of them.
You might think I’m crazy, but I truly believe that each and every person that was at What If 2013 was there to meet me. So that I could have an impact on their life and they on mine.
I left What If feeling alive. And excited. And with a sense of clarity I’ve never had. I know the path we’re on is the right one. It won’t always be the easy road, but it’s the right one.
Please join us at What If 2014 so we can dream big together! This thing will sell out within the next week, so don’t wait around!!
